Thanks for your post!

The two filters for my 260 liter provide a flow of 2100 lph in total. This is an eight-fold turnover, which is widely accepted in planted tanks.

The biological filtration is always done by bacteria in the substrate and filters, not by the plants. This gives me one more reason to have as much (bigger cannister) filtration as possible to multiply the bacteria population.

I have been using the dosing_ calculator.xls and it works great. I was wondering if you could add CSM+B for the traces and Fleet Enema for the PO4?? It's a great tool. It would be nice to have these 2 items added if possible. Thanks and great spreadsheet

There is no need to add extra columns to the calculator for specific commercial solutions. You can simply fill in the specific values for the different traces or Macro components (assuming you know what your solution has in it) and calculate the result.

For example you have an easy task by filling up Column C (rows 43-48) if your CSM+B mix looks like this:

Fe 7.0 % 4.0%
Mn 2.0 % 4.0 %
Mg 1.5 % 1.4 %
Zn 0.4 % 1.5 %
Cu 0.1 % 1.5 %
Mo 0.05 % ---
B --- 0.5 %
Co --- 0.05 %
Mb --- 0.1 %

You only have to convert the percentage to g/l values here. As for the Fleet Enema and PO4 - if you know the contents just type in the corresponding KH2PO4 value to cell E14 until you get the PO4 in percentage or grams from C32 or E32 (never modify the white bkgd cells). Plus you have to adjust the E22 if you do not have a 1 liter bottle for the Fleet Enema.

Sound a bit complicated but it is really easy.
